First crusade was to defend against invaders. Having the family kill someone is not a defense.

I don't think anyone was claiming they do it for defensive purposes.

You brought up crusades in relation to the family having the chance to shoot the guy. He's already in custody and he's gonna be taken out but I don't think it will be by a Christian doing it.
