Not required but it'd be much easier, they're likely to have the files and elements to edit potentially.

If you check your gold logs can you find the transaction in there?

Not worth the effort, some ppl don't keep files over time and you would have to rely on them saving .psd

Easier just to take one frame and edit out the name and add new animation
