She spoke with the Daily Mail on Friday after news of Robinson’s arrest broke. “My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump,” Debbie told the outlet. “Most of my family members are Republican. I don’t know any single one who’s a Democrat.”
This is apparently what his not anonymous grandmother said. He apparently didn't vote the last two elections, so somewhat safe to say he is mostly a young male loser edgelord with real politics not being at the forefront of his mind.

So, she basically said that her son (tyler's father) is a republican. And that most of her family are republicans. And that she doesn't know anyone who is a democrat.
Note that she didn't say tyler was a democrat.
It's very common nowadays that children do not disclose their political views to their grandparents. His parents knew about his political affiliation, but probably chose not to tell her. Grandma's statement doesn't prove he's a leftist at all.

I posted it (and wrote that it probably wasn't the shooter), and someone else did, but that wasn't the same guy, that was just speculation before they actually caught tyler.
