How many trans shooters in say a 5 year period would it take for you to categorize it as "a pattern"?
then answer the same question but substitute "trans" for "white nationalist".
there have been (from recollection) 4-5 of them in the last 5 years i'd guestimate. and previous to that, as ive lived through the entire history of the US school shooter craze, there were zero that i knew of. from columbine to about 2019 it was zero, now in the last 5-6 years it's been 4-5.
unless you restrict "pattern" to mean "every instance" i dont see any reason to squirm, tbh white males are still more common shooters even in the same timeframe, then again they're about 500x the population size.
Also its misleading to restrict the pattern to only mass shootings. Trends are more of a waveform of varying frequency and magnitude, you can't just look at the crest alone. Maybe there have been 5 or so transgender mass shooters instead of zero. But plenty of other data points along that curve. Multiple other transgender terrorist attacks- the Zizians killing multiple people and the border patrol losing a hero to break up some terror plot. The antifa ambush on ICE in Alvarado, again multiple gunmenwomen. The lower level political violence- about a dozen arsons, sabotage, vandalism. And transgender people arrested almost every time. Militant transgender people arrested for violent threats phoned to pundits and celebrities. And of course, violent riots.
If only a single data point exists, its an outlier. A lone kook like Vance Boelter. What was his exact motivation? We dont know. He obfuscated and spread schizo tales. But he assassinated a woman who was totally uncontroversial and nobody cared about, most Minnesotans had no idea who Melissa Hortman was and every single person I talked to remarked how unlikely it was. There hasn't been a swell of far right terror attacks and violence Thats basic pattern recognition, a trend needs more than just a few dots
