Who is at fault? The right immediately blamed the left and the left responded with awful rhetoric. Who was first?

This is exactly the reason I think it's stupid to react emotionally before information comes out

The guy who stood up in the crowd, cheering and laughing as CK was being rushed off the stage. That's the one who was first. -- That same mentality was instantly spread all over social media.

What should be the punishment of responding like that in your opinion? I am asking out of genuine curiosity. I just want to know where people stand on this.

That guy is insane though. I can't imagine responding like that to anyone in person I just saw murked.. That's WILD. I think that dude has seen some shit.

Well is there a law against cheering after someone died? I just think many have lost their humanity, and closing down mental asylums was a big detriment.

I don't think there is. I don't think there should be. I think this is just a grim reminder of what freedom of expression and speech can look like.

Edit: This is about the guy cheering in the crowd over Kirk was killed. I do not think freedom of expression covers any form of violence.

So the idiot who pulled the trigger wasn't first?

Use your brain, Charlie Kirk has always had haters. People would celebrate Biden or Harris dying all the same. For proof, look at the thread here when a democrat member of Congress was assassinated a few months ago. https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=106398515&f=119

In a country with millions of people, every type of person exists. It's not a question of whether bad people exist, it's a question of whether you amplify them or not. Bad people exist in the left and the right

How is this a grim reminder of freedom of expression?
We literally just let people in our country do anything they want and not lock them up anymore, thats not freedom of expression.

I'm talking about the guy in the crowd that was cheering it on. I will edit to make that clear.

Freedom of speech is good, but does it protect news media outlets from lying? I think most of our problems today stem from mainstream media.
