Words cause violence. The worst violence on earth was perpetuated by word. Do you think cult figures who led massive violent events just did so magically? Or maybe the words convinced those to do it.

The truth is Beria had the easiest job ever. Inventing excuses to murder someone is actually trivial when you put any effort into it. Same with coming up with reasons to imprison them. That, and raping and murdering teenagers, he did a lot of that.
When you want to rationalize a reason to wish death on someone you disagree with, its just easy to come up with some vague excuse about diffuse harm caused by their ideas.

Depends. Im absolutely against further weapon restrictions. Fully auto weapons are already illegal and there are new restrictions coming out daily. In fact I’d probably be murdered by law enforcement dying on that hill.

However a lot of great ideas have been mentioned on how to make sure more of the wrong people don’t get their hands on these weapons.

Some (but not all) of these ideas I liked include:

1. Stricter background checks. Currently criminal and NOT psychological history only factors in. I personally know a schizophrenic who legally owns a gun. That’s scary to me.

2. Clamp down on drugs.

3. Stricter laws on owning a firearm such as if you get caught with one not registered to you personally or your a felon and get caught with one the penalty needs to be much more than they get.

4. Classes. I don’t know if they still have these now but when I was a kid I had to take a gun safety class that included care, maintenance and handling training.

These are just a few there are a lot out there.

They are too far gone let them erode into total non-complacency they'll figure it out!
