That alone doesn't legally allow them to kill you. The suspect would have to do something very bad to warrant being killed while in custody, such as trying to take possession of an officers weapon.

There was a proceess that had to be done to first even figure out if that was a real FBI agent. Also, the agent was being a baby. He was treated exactly the same as everyone else would have been, and I believe I remember the cop even confirming that the AC was in fact on.
