Oh no I get it. Things are getting more tribal these days and there are instances where science can be very wrong.

With respect to vaccines it is necessary that society takes a hardline approach. My son started jk recently and he wouldn't be allowed to go if he wasnt up to date on his vaccines.

Covid vaccines for the kids is where I drew the line as the cdc has gone back and forth on this but we did get it for my wife when my first born was on his way due to covid related complications that can threaten the life of both mother and unborn child at the time of delivery.

This puts a lot of strain on the family and family unit.
You and your family don't want to hurt anyone, I understand and respect that.

There are numerous instances in politics where the right answer isnt obvious. In terms of monetary policy there are many avenues and options to debate. Vaccine effectiveness isn’t one of those though. We know they’re safe, and we know how effective they’ve been at eradicating and limiting the spread of diseases.

This is unfortunately a situation where there truly is an obvious and easy answer but some feel it’s become debatable or cloudy because of cynical folks and the spread of misinformation.

That’s what makes this “debate” so frustrating. People like Ron desantis have all the information and know how effective vaccines are. However, he feels that it is politically expedient to implement a policy that he knows will lead to harm. He simply doesn’t care. Misinformation and tribalism has spread concern or resentment about vaccines. This is a perfect encapsulation of what’s so wrong with our politics right now. Instead of trying to educate and help his constituents he’s feeding their fear and anger in a way that will lead to harm for many because he feels it’s politically expedient right now to do so. That’s all this is.

What they did with COVID vaccine mandates was abysmal. However, I don't agree with fully eliminating requirement of fully studied vaccines with a lot of data behind them unlike emergency vaccines.

It was very reasonable to question the COVID vaccines when they first came out and very few people had taken them.

At this point in 2025, the mRNA COVID vaccines are among the most well studied medical treatments ever. Literally billions of people have taken it and there has been so much scrunity from both sides.

Well that's what happens when you treat people like subhumans in the past for not taking it.
