That's some spooky stuff right there, got any more lore on those ideas?

Most of the Davos publications are spooky. I think they held a pagan ceremony during a tunnel opening for the goofy elites.

Entry level jobs getting eroded like no other time in modern history while simultaneously big tech arguing that they need h1b's expanded because there's a shortage. So fucked up.

Same equivalent here in Canada via Temporary Foreign Worker program and Student Visas.

Import a ton of people, housing goes out of control more than almost anywhere else in the world, people cant afford to have kids, government says people are not having kids, imports more workers.

Does it even matter?

What good is a salaried job when the employee gets about 1/4 returns that the boomers got working low IQ factory jobs? A dad could work 1 factory job and Mom be stay at home and the house could raise 5+ kids easy back in the boomer days while owning the house, cars, equipment, etc.

Now you could have a masters, work an engineering job, and maybe own the car

It does appear that some, and I mean an increasing population are viewing it all as a fairly fruitless endeavour. But I mean what's the alternative other than the bank of mom and dad and waiting them out until they die. For many that's not even an option, for most.

It makes the unemployment stat also more and more useless. It's becomes less meaningful when people are not actively seeking employment which is more and more discouraged people who are removing themselves from the workforce or never made it in and have continued to willingly not participate.

The irony is the whole US (seems like Canada too) system is designed to trap low middle income families in this home ownership and shitty 9-5 or salaried jobs. If you don't follow the model, the big three credit agencies write bad note about you. For example, they said I was homeless when I lived in a THOW for 5 years making 6 figures. Or the people in LA where suddenly it's become a priority to harass RV and THOW dwellers. Those mega yachts on mooring ball, slip, or anchor, totally fine though.

I hope GenZ chooses not to participate in the 'dream'.

It was the American Dream that was sold to everyone. Home, family, one or two vehicles in the driveway. 80s onward though, has not been about the worker. We have some nostalgic reflection of the 90s being most of us are 90s kids on here, but we had not yet entered the workforce, even by then it was shifting. Post World War 2 to the 80s, the worker was highly valued, education was cheap, people were well compensated relative to cost of said American Dream. Pre 80s its been a downhill spiral for the worker. And we have seen mass market consolidation go unchecked, companies now with excessive control, power, price fixing, etc. Everything has been consolidated, tech, all your consumer staples, airlines, etc.

Insert super villian corp that owns everything from all the 70s-90s sci-fi. That's our 2050.

Perhaps I'm pessimistic, but the limit as t approaches 2050 is either A: revolution , B civil war, C world war. The ship is on course for a rough grounding. The leadership in place seems mostly self servicing cut throat types.
