Back with old Diablo, if you right clicked your diabloII.exe icon and opened up properties, under the Shortcut tab there is a line called Target with a text box. If you scroll to the end and add a space and then -act5, when you make a new offline character you'd start at like lv32 in Act 5.

It seems this doesn't work with D2r as the icon now just opens up the Blizzard launcher instead of the game directly, but is there another method of doing this? I wanted to be able to easily farm socket quests when needed.

It's not really cheating, just a faster way to start towards NM. There was a downside of not being able to use waypoints until NM.

Also is there even a hero editor for D2r? I wouldn't imagine so.

I am leveling myself, however I'm not going to make a new character and get it all the way to act 5 just for a socket quest for my main offline character. Was hoping for an easier solution that used to work within the game.

Sweetphil posted some thing about unlimited socket Q on YouTube. Involves saving and reloading char file or something with quest incomplete. If you wanna cheat
