Every time i mow my field i just spread then. Tried a few things to kill them but nothing really wotks.

Fire might work but conditions here are rarely good for that.

Any ideas?

But, as for a a poison, they are very resilient. Oh, wait, you can try a dark plastic tarp. Leave it on for a month periodically checking it. It is a great weed killer and preps the ground for whatever you want to plant.

on a hot sunny day, spray them with white vinegar.

I do this to weeds and it works for them... Never had to deal with cacti though.

edit: I use a Hand Pump Sprayer, afterwards I rinse it with water, have been using the same one for ~5 years.

distilled white vinegar is cheap, you mentioned it being a field...
Test it out with a gallon, if it works buy a few gallons and walk the field spraying the cacti on a hot sunny day.

fencing isnt good for that right now. and dont want something else to take care of. maybe after pigs die off.

45% distilled vinegar on a hot sunny day should kill even the roots of most plants.
You're dealing with some kind of unholy cacti.

a normal brush fire wont do it. a few years ago my neighbor accidently burnt up his place and some of my field also burnt. the whole area was just dirt with patches a cactus that didnt seem to care.

i bet with a torch or wheat burner that is aimed at it for a few min would do it but id be afraid to have it spread. dry season right now.
