If you are hyper concerned about AR, visionary would do much more.

But can also use that ~100 AR as a much more effective prefix such as 30ed/20 all res/40 single res/90 mana.

All of which would provide more value to the build than the ~100 AR prefix roll

Sure, you could argue visio is better, but nowadays most people buy walk zons to RvC and you are against an entire team of max block / shouted players.

So in that case, AR is definitely pretty good.

I'm no zon expert but this looks very good for RvC

But yes, I agree that if we are talking 1v1 vs all, ar is definitely not very useful but at least its not entirely wasted like something that would be literally useless
