I’ve been playing D2 for years and I used to feel like part of a mature, respectful community. Lately though, something feels really off.

I often share my items — sometimes torches if I have a lot — or I open free games to give stuff away.
But instead of meeting grateful or even just polite people, I often get players who jump in without even saying hi. They grab everything, no matter if they need it or not. In “free” games, there’s always that one person who takes it all instantly, just because they can.

And what really bothers me: I always write in the game name or description things like “ask first” or “no sorc” or “don’t rush in,” and 90% of players don’t even read it. They enter and immediately ask “where is it?” or “why is nothing here?” or just start complaining.

There’s just a general lack of manners and basic human decency lately. A few years ago, I felt like I was surrounded by decent, adult gamers. Now? Insults, entitlement, rudeness. I'm a woman, so maybe I just think differently about this but I really don’t get what’s going on.

Sometimes I honestly feel like trashing good items just to avoid dealing with this behavior — but then again, I remember how I once started too, and how much a single item could help me become a better player.
So I keep trying to be kind. But it's getting harder.

That is softcore mentality for ya. Come over to hardcore next ladder. Alot of considerate players who are playing with eachother

My last adventure with hardcore made me realize I’m definitely not some top-tier player 😂 so now I stick to softcore, mostly non-ladder. I play for fun, to relax… but honestly, some of the interactions lately just make it hard to enjoy.

I just saw another “torch pls” message — no “hi,” no “thanks,” just someone grabbing and leaving — and it honestly bothered me. People often keep pressing me to trade without even saying what they want or why. It’s just… rude.

I’ve noticed most of these situations happen on ladder softcore — way more often than anywhere else. It’s like people are in such a rush they forget they’re still dealing with other human beings.

And yeah, I’ve been scammed a few times too. Nothing major, but it still feels disappointing — especially when I’m just trying to help out or give something away for free.

Try it out nxt ladder. Will be more fruitfull and joyious. Relaxt slow paced gaming with adultd

All night can say inlay softcore and I have not had that issue with people mostly okay

Of course, I don’t mean everyone. I still often meet great people who are grateful and give me hope — but unfortunately, there are quite a few who act like they’re simply entitled to everything. 🙂

Probably Asian players.

The general hardcore community is very supportive... pub games are wildcards, but I've had some enjoyable walking public hell games. Hardcore is probably where the endgame is if your playing pvm.

I think it’s mostly Europe and sometimes NA — not so much Asia. Players from Asia often don’t talk much in games, probably because most of them don’t know the language
