What dose it actually do?

Mode totem pole kooking things

I get that but dose it boost you like a power up and if it dose how do you tell what it actually dose

Some do…some dont. Some drop monsters. Some spin you around or drop you into another catacomb lvl. Some give wells. Its random

They are all random as far as I know. Some heal you, some take XP, some give XP, some send you through trap doors, some will make wells appear, etc etc

Hopeing mine are all trap doors

233.33% = roughly more appearing in catacomb / map
As stated by others, random effects;
... Gain or lose Exp points (you can only notice this if you are looking at your characters Experience Bar, it changes Color(does not tell you in chat logs)
... Trap Door ... you will notice this as your map changes and your chat log tells you.
... Well ... well this is obvious
... Spin ... no notification, just map location change
... Warm Light ... notification in chat logs (if I remember correctly)
... Random glyph ... no notification, only appears at top of screen

Pretty much that.
