For the 100th time, this is for skilling and not battling.
Your HC skilling should not be lost when you die. If this was the case, maybe you would have more HC Muters and could have better items on hardcore.
Also, don’t spout off with this non sense with nerfing transmuting. Do you know how much time these people have put into transmuting? They have put in months/years of non stop game play. A lot of them still do not get good items, it’s all about luck. Why do you want to nerf anything in a game so fucking hard to get any items in general. STOP TRYING TO NERF SHIT AND IF YOU WANT BETTER ITEMS TO DROP PUSH FOR THAT NOT NERFING SHIT.
I bet you’re one of those people who want to ban guns because people get killed by them. Let’s not blame the people doing it! Let’s blame the guns yup let’s take away the guns yup.
The time a person Transmuting takes a long time ... you are correct.
The time a person Catacombing and finding Items of a certain tier also takes a long time... this is also correct.
Now, there are a few factors that contribute to both.
Group Runs = more drops and less time vs solo playing ... this is a big factor.
Guild members contributing to their Skill members by transferring items for them to Transmute ... even better factor for Skill (solo or group members)
Purchasing items off of the Marketplace at a price ... also a factor.
Now ... how many people doing catacomb runs finding those items contributing because they are guild members and those that are NOT and selling them on the Market place for that one person? HOW MUCH TIME AND EFFORT DID ALL of those players ADD up to for that ONE person? ... Hey, you want to talk about HOW MUCH TIME, then add in what EVERYONE else did in comparison to one skiller.
Nerfing Mute is easy as pie.
#1
is to make Magic Luck ineffective.
... That is all that needs to be done as a Nerf.
Now if you want to make it harder and still include Magic Luck, then add this concept:
#2
Have a random MONSTER Level spawn based on either the Character Level or Tier Level of item being Transmuted (based on the HIGHER monster level) ...
Failed or Not.
... This is simple, this also means that the equipped gear is sufficient to kill that monster without being killed, also, if death happens, you lose the item.
As for 1006's ... Paul needs to add in a code to bring you back to where you were at ... meaning during Skilling, you return at the same point, you do NOT lose anything.
This would also apply to other skills ... there was a time when fishing you had a random monster appear, this can also be re-introduced, maybe something similar for other skills like cooking (fire type monsters only) etc.
