If the BBC wants footage from inside Gaza, it often comes from Hamas’s own media office or from freelancers tied to it.

Al Jazeera Arabic and English (funded by Qatar) produce a constant stream of Gaza coverage sympathetic to Hamas.
BBC journalists monitor Al Jazeera’s footage and reports, especially when they can’t send their own crews, and sometimes license clips or quote from them.
This allows Qatar’s editorial framing to flow straight into BBC coverage, even if indirectly.

A few years back the US congressional docket was dominated by anti boycott Israel bills and amendments. They Israel lobby sought to undermine the first amendment when it comes to governments awarding contracts to our citizens. American citizens took a second seat to Israel feelings

Water is reaching critically low levels in gaza, food remains at below starvation levels. and shocker shocker a pseudo journo ends up killed to draw away headlines just as contractors return from Gaza blowing all of the whistles they can find about how the IDF is committing literal Geneva conventions war crimes on a daily basis at aid sites. pretty convenient distraction.

The reality is that 100's of not 1000's are going to starve over the next month in gaza and there is nothing Israel is prepared to do to prevent that. They would need to bring in so many Dr's just to wean people back on to food, no way are they wanting to do that. the images are going to get really really bad.

A Hamas official said the Islamist movement was ready to relinquish Gaza governance on behalf of a non-partisan committee, but it would not relinquish its arms before a Palestinian state is established.

This statement from Hamas has not led to Israel pausing its plans to begin a new offensive.

So Hamas' big compromise proposal was for Israel to recognize a Palestinian state, and then they may or may not lay down their weapons and cede control to a "non-partisan committee" which may or may not be just a rebranding of Hamas. And then, the new Palestinian state may or may not cede hostilities against Israel.

Did you really expect Israel to take such a proposal seriously?
