Very possibly. I actually feel a bit of sympathy for folks who’ve been fed so much misinformation that they’ll just believe anything at this point. Not to absolve folks of responsibility, but I guess I view it as unfortunate.

The few extremely cynical folks who spend all their time posting things they know are misinformation for that very reason confuse the shit outta me. As you allude to, the audience they aim to influence is infinitesimally small. It’s just weird as shit.

Exactly to my point. I naively want us to aspire to the concept of good governance. People (within their partisan beliefs) seeking improvements to better people lives. Instead we have pure cynicism such as this response. “I don’t give a fuck about anything as long as my team is winning baby!!” Pure partisanship is all that seems to matter to a large portion of the population. Everything else be damned.

You know you can try just not lying. It feels really hard at first because your entire identity is based on a lie, but you really just have to rip off the bandaid and start healing.

Good governance first requires non-bias. Focus on learning that first.

To restore non-bias, the crimes of the past decade must be rectified. Continuing to deny those crimes does you no favours.
