I recently bought a desk and bench for studying and maybe some light gaming. I’m looking for a mousepad my mousepad space is 11-1/2”x23”

For a mouse I have a razer death adder

I’d prefer a thinner mat, would let to spend less than $50 but that’s not a hard limit if the mat dope

What kind of pads do you guys use, and would you recommend it?

No receipts but here is desk and bench

Oh? I like your fusion-y setup. As for a mousepad I swear by and it's on a super sale:
https://iogear.com/products/ggmm2e?_pos=1&_sid=4b96e41ab&_ss=r

There are smaller ones on Amazon. But, I love the long mouse pads for when doing collages on an image editor.

Desk is a makeup vanity for a teenager?

I could never ergonomically want to spend multiple hours at that thing

I have an Artisan Zero in XL soft and it's the best mousepad I've ever had

I'm sure you're not looking to spend that much on a mousepad but.. neither was I... until I experienced it at a friend's house. Was at my doorstep the next day LOL

yes, I like it because I can easily just close my laptop and close the desk on it then my desk can be used as a dinner table. I live in 133sqft studio so everything has to have multiple uses. If i got a regular computer desk id have to find somewhere else to store my computer when not in use, this was the most convenient option for me.

I heard bad things about the xsoft when I had researched it

it's just the smoothest, best feeling, most quality mousepad I've had.

Caveat: I play a lot of games competitively and if you're not sweating out on an FPS/RTS, it's probably not worth it for you

Can also look into the EGG MPC450, which my R6 friend swears by

Literally doesnt matter. Pick one thats large enough.

Also that desk has a middle recess which means your mouse will be higher than the screen. Terrible for your hand.

I recommend an adjustable standing desk that way you can optimise better.

standing desk is a big waste of space. i could just use my bed if i wanted a standing desk, its around 4' off the ground.

also doubt screen location has an effect on your hand, your mouse should be at or below elbow height, which is exactly where mine sits.

Honestly, why not just get a new desk? You can find ones that are covered by 1 giant mouse pad, something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Seven-Warrior-Computer-Ergonomic-Headphone/dp/B087V1VDB8?th=1

You'd obviously need a chair as well, but I'm having a hard time thinking about a $50 mousepad budget when this is your setup lol

If you're truly light gaming, just go to whatever local store and grab the cheapest mousepad they have

because this desk fits my needs very well. I could close the top if I wanted a bigger mousepad, and I guess that's an option i hadn't considered. with that in mind I think I will order the mouseone pad i was looking at
