Yeah that's pretty bad for 4 people. Maybe kids are more expensive cause they know they'll be taken in a lot more often than the average adult.

Mine through my work is $75 per check/$150 a month for just myself and I thought that was a little high, mainly because I never use it until I actually did when I messed up my hand. That def came in handy. (pun not intended)

Oh right, that reminded me it's a little more because I found out there's such a thing as off-site workers comp recently. But that only added like $10-15 per check I think.

mine is about $255 per month for me alone. if i had kids i'd have to pay almost the same amount for each of them.

idk what you earn but the amount you given seems ok for the 4 of you.

Another year, another open enrollment for heath, dental, and vision benefits.

$383.75 per pay period will be deducted from my paycheck to cover myself, wife, and two kids.

Yay me!!!

I'm not sure what this is about, however if you're happy about it i'm happy for you :)

I would not do it most of insurance is a scam.

You could take that same money and put it on term deposit/s&p500/bonds etc. Call it rainy day insurance or whatever and never touch it.
By the time you will actually need it you will have way more than you need. And if you take care of your health you might never need it. In your golden years enjoy lots of free money.

But most people are financially illiterate npcs and will end up with nothing or worse in debt dependant on government.

Does seem a little low for a family of four.
