Perfectly said! 🙌 That’s really the heart of it; if an app can match (or even improve on) the smoothness of the current site, it’d be a win for everyone. It's not about changing what works; it’s about adding more access without compromising quality. Glad we’re on the same page!

Appreciate your input; this kind of feedback helps make the idea stronger.

No problem! :)

Lol, I have so many apps on my phone that I wish there was an app or ai to help me find the app I'm looking for!

uh. well if you have an android, go to your home screen and swipe up to view all your apps and use the search bar.

I'd imagine iphones would have that feature as well.

"You're not making any sense.

Quicker trades - How? You need to be on PC for most trades so doing trades on your phone wouldn't help. But also, just how would it be faster?

real time pms - Again, we already have this. Turn on push notifications on your phone.

smoother browsing - How? The mobile version is just as fast and instant as the website on a PC. If you're having load time issues then you might want to get a better phone or better service provider."

Totally fair questions; appreciate the chance to clarify. Let me explain what I meant a bit better:

quicker trades; not the in game trade itself, but faster communication leading to a trade. Being able to reply instantly to FG offers, BINs, or DMs via a dedicated, responsive app UI could speed up the whole process. Time is often lost navigating clunky threads or slow load ins.

real time PMs; yes, technically exists, but native push in an app is faster and more reliable than browser notifications. Think Telegram vs mobile site notifications; big difference in responsiveness, especially when timing matters for trades.

smoother browsing; not everyone has the same device or experience. An app would allow custom UI/UX that’s optimized for mobile; less zooming, tapping tiny links, or managing tab overload. Cleaner navigation = faster, easier user experience.

the current site works well. But a well designed app wouldn’t replace it; it would enhance it for people who want mobility, speed, and usability in one tap. It's not about fixing something broken. It’s about evolving something great.

Being able to reply instantly to FG offers, BINs, or DMs via a dedicated, responsive app UI could speed up the whole process. - You can already reply instantly with push notifications. I'm not sure what part of that you're not understanding. Responsive app UI could speed up the whole process. Speed up how? Like giving you notifications from the future before the person has even sent it to you?

real time PMs - How can you get faster than near instant? It's not necessary nor would there be any kind of a difference.

smoother browsing - it auto scales to your phone, as already stated. They don't need to make an app specifically for poor people with super ancient phones, which I doubt even matters as once again, it auto scales. No zooming required and links are only too tiny to click if your screen is like 3in long.

Lets just do this. Go ahead and throw this up in site suggestions and see what happens.

I hear you; and you’re not wrong about some of that. The golden age of D2 brought massive traffic, and sure, the scene isn’t what it used to be. But I don’t think that means it’s over.

What if this is the moment to reimagine the platform? Not just as a D2 trading hub, but as a central meeting ground for niche gamers, collectors, and community driven economies? An app wouldn’t fix everything, but it could spark a second wind; something fresh to bring back veterans and invite new players in with a smoother, modern experience.

This place still has roots, and that’s more than most sites can say. With the right vision, it could grow again.

Which part of the traffic is gone dont you understand?

You are trying to gather water with a sieve in an almost dried out puddle. No amount of features or notifications is going to bring back people who Uninstalled.
