People like to believe there's one big bank account, and money spent one place means money not spent somewhere else. Obviously that's not the case in reality
In this case, I don't trust anything from the current white house (not a political thing, I just objectively have seen them lying too many times). If you do trust them, you could still ask what the donors are getting in return.
Every politician / political party out there has donors and people that try to influence them and I never said that's not the case.
I quoted the White House secretary saying that the project is funded by Trump and donors.
