Spur of the moment idea, not thought through, and most likely the worst idea I suggested.

Idea: Trading items across Cores.

Leave the Hell No & BS comments for later, because you will want to express it more, especially for those that can not do this.

Both the Trader and Buyer has to have characters on BOTH cores. No Exception (this relates that they can have a Market place for both cores.)

Conversion Fee (I have not worked this out, however further removing forum gold is a benefit for Creator).

There are also a few other things to take into consideration.

#1: Converting items for Personal Use?
#2: Converting items for trade?

Personal use will undoubtedly abuse the game if the fee was 0.5 per 1 forum gold. However trading it could be viable based on the Trade price agreed upon, so that would mean that the Market Fee is doubled. 1/10 etc.

Conclusion, when converting an item, there is a fee... the fee could be 1 fg per tier, +1 fg per Magical quality (Magical, Rare, Mystical etc) ... so to convert a Tier III Mythical Axe fee would be 8 forum gold. Now that is cheap for Personal use.

So another addition could be. Converting Softcore items to Hardcore is 3 times the fee of 1 forum gold per Tier and Magical modifiers, thus the Tier III Mythical Axe would be 24 forum gold for personal use & also trading (buyers discretion etc).

When converting an item, it does NOT go on a mule, it goes into the Marketplace as an item to sell with a 0* price for the core it is converted to, also it is not included as a Trade item yet, hence the red *, it has to be removed to a character manually.

Now, another problem, this means you can trade between cores, so if a Hardcore player sees an item on SC selling at 8k forum gold and bins it and requests it to be converted to hardcore, the trader can opt for an additional Fee (not subjected to converting item) ... he/she could ask for another 500 or 1k fg ... again leaving it for players discretion in trades etc.


I know, there is a ton of shit to work out, also coding may make it impossible, however, if I can see SC players completing a Master Quest, this maybe able to happen.

If an item exists, the it can be Converted to another core. HOWEVER, you did bring up a different issue. The fee for Unspawnables should increase if for personal use... say 10 times the amount since most unspawns are Tier I & II... anything higher is up to the trader and conversion.

Remember, fee is removing fg from the system. Would make a difference if it went towards Raffle (now that is another story.)

I don't have an issue with unspawns & conversion really, and I doubt many people will get rid of their Trophy items so easily... so then it would make 16 single core oldschool to delete a character or more just to convert the Unspawn item to HC at a cost just to play HC like a newb.

16 SC characters... delete 1 to convert an Unspawn item or more just to use on HC would mean to delete more SC toons for muling items or converting their best items from SC to HC and still start from scratch.

Hence, the players choice to do it and at a cost.

Yea this is a terrible idea, sorry.

I dont hardcore and probaby never plan to but i know others who have gone from sc to hc. So why not if it brings a little blood back into this dying game

I feel like there are far better things that could be added, and this is not one of them.

Marketplace has a "Conversion" Option
You select the item at the price displayed and press "Conversion" (2 things will happen)
#1: A fee box will appear, Fee is .20 per 1 fg paid by the buyer.
#2: A list of your characters from the core you are converting the item to will appear, you will have to select the character to send it to.

Example: SC item on MP @ 1000 forum gold and buyer converts this and the 1000 fg goes to seller and 200 fg fee is paid by the buyer

This seems to be a quicker solution, however it doesn't stop PM Trades where they manipulate paying the Fee by lowering the price and buyer sending the rest over to seller. This may also increase sniping.
