I think it's a mistake as well. I'd like to see more diverse team names like The Holy Popes, or The Desert Prophets, or LGBTQ69'ers

Ngl, "the San Francisco 69ers" would be a hilarious team name.

Or take inspiration from other parts of the world. In Bolivia, they have soccer teams named "Destroyers" and "The Strongest".

LMAO, the sheer intellectual dishonesty!

Democrats in 2024: "inflation rates are down big time"

To be honest, I legitimately don't remember anyone touting low grocery prices in 2024. Now I am swarmed mostly by Canadian media, we had grocery store boycotts, high prices made the news every-day.

I mean you had almost every democratic candidate running on reducing food prices because they all acknowledged how absurdly high everything is. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/07/2024-election-inflation-grocery-prices-a-top-issue.html

Its more than likely just shit slinging, democrats would have promised to lower food prices, and if they didn't go down a republican would have posted this graph. We live in a world where likely the same outcome would have happened either way and this graph would have ben posted by the opposing account since both platforms candidates ran on reducing prices in 2025.

Biden, Kamala and their spokespeople were constantly stressing how they brought down inflation, typically in response to Republicans attacking them for "high inflation".

Regarding the culpability of the Biden/Harris administration for the 2021-23 inflation surge: of course post-covid, some degree of inflation was inevitable. But their actions and policies exacerbated this inevitable inflation by quite a lot in a myriad of ways.

Inflation affected every country during covid
Saying it was just an American problem makes you sound ignorant and dumb.

I dunno you look at 2024s platforms and they were all pretty open about high grocery prices including Kamala.

That's the true intellectual dishonesty, pretending it would have been any different. Fairly certain we would be exactly where we are now. There was no magic wand that could have been waived around to somehow make the outcome drastically different from the majority of the rest of the countries. Small outliers exist but they are not the USA.

No. See below.

That's explicitly not what I said. I said some inflation was inevitable, but that the policies of the Biden/Harris administration exacerbated it. Maybe you should look that word up in the dictionary...

So prices surged more drastically in the US than in the eurozone or Japan. For the US/EU comparison, see also this chart:

The only time inflation rates in the eurozone surpassed those in the US was from February 2022 until late 2023, i.e. the time when the economic fallout from the Ukraine war (loss of access to Russian gas etc.) obviously hit Europe a lot harder than the US. That the absolute CPI level in the US stayed ahead of Europe throughout this entire timeframe in spite of Europe going through a major withdrawal is a fucking indictment of the US economic policy under Biden.
