I'm not confused, just cautious because there is no official source on the details of the agreement yet. That's why I wrote "by the looks of it".

Another interesting detail is that both sides agreed to leave the 50% tariffs on steel and aluminium untouched.
Additionally, we must keep in mind that the eventual final tariffs on Canadian and Mexican auto imports to the US will also have a huge impact on Japanese automakers since a lot of their production for the US market takes places there.
