Although not even close to a Fortune 500 company In-N-Out Burger is moving its HQ out of Cali. This is way more significant than most California fans will admit as In-N-Out moving out of California is the Equivalent of Whataburger’s HQ moving out of Texas.

In-N-Out is so Iconically Californian (though it does have restaurants in other states). However, the most disturbing part of this change is Lynsi Snyder the owner making the statement that Cali is not a great place to raise kids or doing business.

It’s important to note overall the company’s worth and growth have expanded under her leadership and she even cracked the Forbes 400 wealthiest individuals in America and was the youngest Female billionaire in 2012.

This woman is a financial HAWK and most experts expect her to expand the business even more.

The move is expected to lose California about 500 jobs (mostly administrative positions, HR, Advertising and Customer Service positions) while adding an equal amount or more to Tennessee. That’s for the HQ alone. Snyder also plans to consolidate all non-restaurant based jobs in California into one location in Baldwin Park possibly costing thousands more jobs.

Lol, apparently this is fake news. In-N-Out is not actually moving out of California

I trust your source. It’s insider INC. I just didn’t think they’d print fake anti-liberal news being as they are notoriously biased and the heads have donated to many Democratic candidates.

Makes no sense to trash Newsome’s state when you support him.

The problem is that people jumped on a sound bite, and went with it because they want to believe it's true. Now it turns out In-N-Out isn't moving their headquarters and they aren't leaving California at all

There are many people who are wishing for California to fail because they don't like seeing a liberal state making a lot of money. It threatens their world view

I don’t wish them to “fall” exactly. I simply think people not acknowledging Texas being a growing place for people and businesses is insane. My wife is from Cali(well Ukraine but lived in Cali when I met her.) we go there 3 times a year. I enjoy my visits there. It’s beautiful.

Politically I’m very center-right. However I agree with legalization and free healthcare of the liberal side. I just disagree with almost everything else.

California economically will ALWAYS be huge. I don’t think it will ever be less than top 3 even if half of it fell into the ocean lol.

I have no idea how Texas is related to this story? This is a California company that people thought was moving to Tennessee, and now it turns out they aren't

Nobody is saying the words you wrote there. I haven't seen a single person who would say Texas is not a growing place for business.

I think the real issue you're struggling with is the comparison of Texas against California

I'm not trying to argue that California is the best state overall, let me help you make a better argument

California has the biggest economy of any US state, but that's because of silicon valley and the tech industry. If you ignore tech, California is nothing special and probably lags behind Texas

California owns tech because no other state has the density of engineering talent that California has. This will maybe change eventually but it's going to take time. Yes COL is high, but if you're trying to hire AI engineers for 100 million/year you don't care about COL, you just need the engineering talent at any cost

Tech causes many social issues, including massive inequality. As little as 9 households control as much as 70% of wealth in silicon valley https://www.ktvu.com/news/silicon-valley-pain-index-shows-growing-gap-between-wealthy-everyone-else

It’s a liberal organizations article though. Peng donated to Newsome.

That’s what’s weird. Even weirder is why write a fake news article trashing the side you support?

It’s mental.
