All the good forum villains left long ago. Good trolls put a lot of thought into what they do. So much so you could never prove whether or not they are trolling.
Nowadays the standard is “Who can be the most annoying”. Hardly a great measuring line once you are over 10 years old.
Interesting. Which user, from any time period, would you say is an example of a good forum villain?
I couldn't disagree more. Just like the world in real life, we don't need assholes and psychopaths. I don't understand why that is. I've read the police utter: "We do not want a criminal free society." I can't understand the psychology or philosophy behind that. It's like, they WANT some people to turn out bad!!
I understand some people grow up in less than ideal conditions, and that's not their fault. But then it's up to the society's leadership to make the necessary systems so that these individuals are given every opportunity to get in power of their own destiny.
That is not so hard. It starts with the school system, which is basically very inadequate in this sense. Bullies are allowed to wreack havock and evolve their psychopathic abilities. And continues this into their adult life, working life, dominating like little psychopaths, creating more victims.
Same goes on the internet, where this is magnified. How many news cases aren't there where people have even committed suicide due to internet bullying?
The only philosophy i can find, for why the governments of the world do not work hard on this, is that they WANT there to be a society of violence and torture. They WANT us to have a "divide-and-conquer" mentality. Because THEY THINK, not the truth or reality, but THEY THINK, that this hardens the human spirit, and also they think that this makes us stronger in terms of enduring working life, so that we become better working bees or drones. Which is exactly what they want.
So, many of us are doomed from the start. We go to school to learn to interact. What does this mean? To endure and tip-toe around bullies and psychopathic children, that learns their behaviour from their parents? Or because there is no workers in school to work with the environment there, put children and youth acting out in their place, so they learn to behave?
That is how it should have been since the beginning of the school system was implemented. And it has not been there. And that is exactly why this faulty philosophy continues.
We do NOT need forum villains. We do NOT need bullying. Or someone to "ostracise" so that "everyone else" feels "included". EVERYONE should feel included. Bullying should be instantly and viciously stricken down by the forum leadership. When it's not, we get a toxic and vile environment, where anyone trying to make a humorous point, or even step their tiny little toe outside the boundaries of what the "norm" is, is singled out and wrongly judged, sometimes extremely unfairly.
I know everything about this - also from real life. And it is extremely ridiculous. A very absurd and inefficient way of life. When everything could and should flow so much better. That is what you read about, companies that are well driven, with good leadership, people feel valued, they can express opinions, everything "flows" well. Any forum can be driven this way also, with GOOD leadership. It is not hard. So i wonder why some people insist so much on making it so very difficult to accomplish.
