The only change is that now, to confirm a trade, you have to wait 7 days since the seller could back out.

you think sites or people gonna want to wait 7 days to confirm a trade?

I can wait 7 days for JSP trades, but I admit only with profiles that look like yours or Andrewtate

Trade Protection
Valve has recently pushed an update that allows trades to be reversed for a period of 7 days (Trade Protected Items).

As a seller, you will get credited for a sale after the trade protection period ends (~8 days).

Attempting to reverse a trade offer on Steam for a CSFloat sale will result in a permanent ban. Thank you for your patience and continued support

It's gonna be the norm my man. float already implemented the change on their site. Maybe steamrep will make a comeback since no one uses or even remembers it.

There’s no other way, the issue I see is that if you tell me to buy a Karambit Fade, that knife costs 3k and in 5 days it’s pumped to 5k. What do you think the seller will do? That’s the big problem I see with it.

What I do believe is that trading will take a big hit; it’s a huge blow against skin sites. This already happened with Dota. CS had a one-week trade lock, and everyone was trading Arcanas and Dragonclaws because Dota had no trade lock, and everything moved to TF2 keys. If they kill TF2 keys, I don’t know what would happen.

Yeah thats a decent way from float, basically doesnt change much in terms of skin trading beside as seller you get credited 8 days later which is fine. And if you reverse the trade you get insta ban.

Only as seller your balance will be on hold for 8 days thats the only downside you cannot reinvest it directly if your reason to sell x items was to reinvest at that current moment the same balance into another item(s) to gain short term profit.

Not just with fg trades.

All those bot and gambling websites cs players love so much can now code their bots to abuse this. If they dont like an outcome, they can takebasies.

mediators on jsp wont be part of trades of this nature.
So for JSP sake, mediators no longer an option for cs trades.

Whats stoping them? Ofc.. they don’t get paid doing this, even the tips from trades are bon existent.
They just need to be add” no cancel policy” and find a willing med to keep the funds.
For flippers like you.. oh well thats not good. For others, everything's fine.

The reason they wont mediate long trades like this is cause of the chance of people reverting trades, since this is now the only option maybe they would be fine with it, guess i gotta ask around :) im not the only flipper here am i ?
