Every member of New York's high society from the 80s through the 00s knew Epstein and had some kind of relationship to him. Doesn't mean that all of them were patrons on Lolita Island.

The big crux is that 25 years later, it'll be nearly impossible to properly distinguish between those who did nothing wrong and those who actually used their connection to Epstein to indulge in perversion. The AoE damage in terms of PR would be gigantic and predominantly undeserved.

Of course it was foolish and a really bad look for the Trump admin to talk a big game about releasing this list and then backtrack.

Find the victims and arrest anyone named.

Trump is actively losing what is left of his mind, inventing stories about his uncle John Trump teaching the unabomber at MIT (wrong university..) and him talking to his uncle about the unabomber (who was not identified until 10 years after John Trumps death). Him being scared of consequences for fucking kids with epstein is taking it's toll it seems.
