yall think its part of the learning curve or something... this sticky note is not for me, and it doesnt mean we should let some "d*mb" new user get burned to figure things out.

and for those saying scammer change name and ID. diabolo and ceo has scammed people for almost a month now since I joined and they keep succeeding. I dont even see their need to change names at this point. at the very least this may cost them another d2r copy.

Nah you are wrong 100%

Scams are a part of life

You are lucky if you got scammed on D2. Maybe you will learn about trust and safety by the time you have a scammer hitting your text messages / email.

MY GRANDMA knows to say "NO" to these people. Scams are just part of life and this lovely world we share.

Same way people get their crypto savings or checking accounts drained by scammers, by being idiots.

forgot to reply to your irl scams comments. yes I 100% agree with you and I have been putting in effort to educate my parents and grandparents how not to get scammed. I have received if not thousands of scamming emails and texts and calls now as have any ppl probably. I can almost say irl scams are easier to avoid since its real money related and ppl are more vigilant. d2r however is just a game and ppl come to relax. thats why some random obvious scams worked on tired ppl.

Who does scams?

Humans.

Who plays D2?

Humans.

Just because you enjoy doing it doesn't mean you are skipping through a field of daisies in paradise. Grow a brain and be skeptical, any other solution including getting the mods to put up a banner defers blame away from yourself and prevents you from learning.

You got scammed. It is your fault not the scammer. Any different take will only lead to you being scammed again.

I really dont wanna go so far away from a helpful suggestion on how to make the site better.

But by your logic, we shouldn’t have crosswalks, warning signs, or fraud protection on credit cards either. 'Just don’t get hit by a car' or 'just don’t get scammed by phishing emails' is not a real solution. People still fall for phone scams, even smart ones, that’s why banks now automatically flag suspicious activity, or block payments to known scam numbers. Im just asking for a similar change on jsp. Every functioning system in the real world builds in layers of prevention, education, and accountability, because people are human, like you said yes, especially when they’re new. so why not build more layers on jsp?

edit: coincidentally i also work in finance related. Im not yet at your stage of blaming every fault on the victim tho

I will stop unnecessary bumping and replying to you since you seems to be on the other extreme end. I will agree to disagree.

at the end of the day, im just offering 1k fg for a change

Because by your logic we should live in a giant bubble where nobody can get cut or bruised or trip or fall.

We should have soft sidewalks because concrete is hard and can scrape your knee.

You need to take accountability and get better at not being scammed. That is the only way this changes for anyone.
