Has anyone tried making a pvm Riftsin wearing Hustle and running fade over burst? Zappy's guide was written well before Hustle became a thing. It gives r/w and IAS, makes up a lot there that might allow us to run fade for the damage reduced and resistances.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe IAS breakpoints for dragon talon with divine scepter are 50 and 95. I'm at 60 from Hustle and 2/20 gloves.

Is it worth the offsets to push for 95? Thinking about Highlords or Cat's Eye, IAS jewel in my helm.

I play hardcore so I'm trying to keep res maxed and damage reduced high (Shako, fade, maybe String of Ears since I need more life steal also).

Zappy's guides are pretty informative.

I think you have to ask yourself the question if it is worthwhile. I actually hate Treachery runeword, I would actually used upped Twitchroe for the IAS, but then again, that is for a bowazon, not a Riftsin.

Do you need to use a 2/20 gloves, the ias, demon damage% and fire res from LoH could be better, especially since all main bosses are Demons... maybe test it out, I don't know the % dmg loss you take from removing +2 skills (tree), but I think the demon damage % is way more.

So you are at 60% IAS, you want advice on getting another 35% IAS for Divine Scepter BP? ... Ammy / Jewel does get you there, but what do you lose or gain by doing this? Oh, I would go with Highlords, it will help out more (personally, also some light absorb).

Helm... what are you using? I mean my following suggestion probably isn't worth anything, but why not Andy's Visage... 20% ias, you could Ral it (cheapest option) and not worry about an IAS jewel. Recovers your +2 Skills (actually adds to all). Again, just a suggestion to look at if you are using a different helm, also Life Leech with Andys if I remember correctly.

Just right down the pros / cons of switching items, you may find out that you get multiple choices open up.

I did this build years ago and it was definitely a waste of time.

You're basing all your damage off a crappy Frozen Orb and Crushing Blow procs w/ other things...this was probably one of the worst Theorycrafts I played next to Sara's CtC Bone Bear Necro...

I respect the creativity but it's absolutely garbage to build.

Mosaic Sin is what you want if lots of elemental kicks is what you want...

Regular kicksin using a LW PB setup is also infinitely better than a Riftsin...

Riftsin is a very budget build, often used as an alternative to trapsin, before you can eventually convert to mosaic.
Seriously a nice build prior to having a sunder, since you can deal all dmg types.

So unless your goal is to keep her as a riftsin and push her to the limit, I would say : no, it's not worth it to aim for 95ias.

In fact, even 50ias can be overkill.

As you can see, at 30ias you already reach 3fpa for all kicks except the last one.
Assuming you have a 5 kicks dtalon, the flurry last 21 frames.
At 50ias, the flurry last 20 frames, 5% faster.
At 95ias, the flurry last 19 frames, 5.26% faster than at 50ias, or 10.5% faster than at 30ias.

Looking good on paper?
Sadly, it only affects the last kick, which has the highest chance among all kicks to simply result "in the air" against a target that has already died.
So yes it's useful to save time, to prevent being locked in your animation, but it's not a very big dmg increase overall.

On a very low budget, my suggestion would simply be :
use death belt + gloves
it gives you the 30ias you need to reach 3fpa kicks, but also CbF, 15@, 8%LL, almost neglects entirely psn dmg.
Very great for an option that is basically free.

If you have access to some gear, then 50ias could be reached with this partial death set, combined with hustle armor or cats eye or HL.
Or you could let go of the death set and use hustle + cats/HL instead.

If you really want to aim for 95ias (I wouldn't lol), you would need to use at least a 15ias jewel.
20 from glove, 20 from amy, 40 from hustle, 15 from jewel = 95
Not optimal, and at this point you should already be able to move on to a better build.

Just saying that your input is quite insightful, even though I am not the OP, I just wanted to check numbers again:

Gloves: Laying of Hands 20% IAS
Amulet: Highlords 20% IAS (+1 Skill and DS% chance)
Hustle: Runword (Armor?) 40% IAS
... 80% IAS right.
Andys Visage: 20% IAS ... no jewel added, +2 All Skills and Life Leech with added Strength
... 100% IAS right... thus 95% is covered.

So, Rings, Belt, Boots are adapted to build... so that leaves the optional or best weapons to use for a Riftsin build right?

Hey, I don't like sins, however in 1.09, no one actually realized that they could teleport by kicking and that skill got nerfed for 1.10 without anyone noticing. funny that. Oh yes, Kicksin build of course in the day when I used it, not a Trapper per say... was a fun build even vs Bzon (1.09).

Anyway... how crap would it be now? The Riftsin with that gear and choices? I know Hand-eye Co-ordination makes the best best player, not the gear, the build changes strategies, however, hand-eye co-ordination trumps it also.

Mind you ... PvM is simple enough.

Don't waste your time on a Riftsin bro, it's like the hundreds of useless cool items in the game...cool but trash.

If you like the fireworks I suggest a Fireclaw Druid running Destruction setup, much more satisfying procs.

Agreed, the only issue I have is her claim that this build can't use Enigma. I've done it several times using Moser's or Sanctuary to make up the resistances. You get the same +2 all skills, don't need the leech from CoH with Drac's. I also prefer Shako to Nightwing's for the damage redux and additional life, plus the MF.

Good point about LoH, especially if we wore Andy's face for the IAS and leech, LoH would give more IAS, demon damage, and offset the -fire res penalty. I still think Drac's are the ideal endgame because nothing beats the life tap for safety in hardcore. My curren't are blood gloves so I get more crushing blow and life steal with +2 to martial arts and 20 IAS, plus they rolled lightning resistance.

Reading through and testing, I don't think it's worth the tradeoff to reach the breakpoint. We should note here that deadly strike doesn't work with kick damage, Highlord's still gives IAS, skills, and lightning res that will be needed.

Currently using Shako, Andy's is a good suggestion. Crown of Ages is worth considering too, the str req is only 11 higher than 2x upped Goblin Toes. The added res from CoA and having good charms might open up the shield slot for headhunter's + facets or Whitstan's for the insanely high blocking.

The rest of my current setup is +2 assassin amulet, Rift, Hustle chest, upped 2D Moser's, 2/20 sin blood gloves, blood ring with lightning res, 8/15 string, raven frost, upped Goblin Toes. I have max res, near max damage reduction, max block, and 1150 life without CtA. Super cheap and hardcore hell viable if not the fastest at clearing. Eventually I'll put a fleshripper in my stash for Dclone and ubers.

Mind you ... PvM is simple enough.

Agreed, hence the challenge of making hardcore hell viable builds that are fun to play using mostly easily attainable trash gear.

Lightning sentry is still the main damage dealer. Orb damage and elemental damage from rift supplements it, death sentry helps with mobs and you have crushing blow for bosses. It's a more versatile and dynamic build that was created before sunder charms pushed everyone toward more one-dimensional builds. But play the builds you enjoy. Kick/trap hybrids are my favorite.

Wow, love this suggestion, hadn't even considered the partial set benefits from Death's. Might do this next season, ought to mention upgrading the belt to demonhide only costs Tal+Shael+Perfect diamond and would give us sixteen boxes instead of eight.

Eh, the idea is to have fun, and kick/trap hybrids are imo more fun than playing mosaic or pure trapper or kicker. To each their own.
