did read post 19... and i've tried howling a bit, and only doing boss monsters. It's fun. But one big problem: Howl doesn't work all the time! It simply does not hit the monsters! Sometimes it does - sometimes it just don't. I have no idea why. I'm 99% sure it's not lag, since i can hit the monsters next to me, and i can hit, chase, hit, and try howl, it still won't work. Yet on other similar mobs, like dark ones, now it suddenly works. But i do get it, i get just doing the boss monster packs. It's kind of fun, and neat, not wasting time on lesser monsters, i like that. You still get good exp, and increases chances to find good stuff.
I may do a reskill quest and optimalize the build. I would like to keep some throwing weapons on switch on the barb. But just can't find anything real good to compare with the bonesnap. It's better taking time, kiting and being careful if necessary, sneak in a berserk attack, than throwing 20 low damage throwing weapons and wasting my time.
Rock on ^^[/CENTER]
Howl.
Radius could be issue, secondly, if you
howled a
monster, and it is close to you, it will attack (they
become more aggressive and won't run away, this could be two of the reasons, also, there are Chaos Knights that will NOT be effected by howl, they are the
Caster Knights and are not champion+, these are also found in other areas as well, like WSK. Those are just from my memory.
Remember you can still use 1 base Concentration skill while you are using Bonesnap, this gives you Leech and a bit of defense... note, I am not sure, but do you not also have 1 base leap skill? use that to get in closer to the runaways and knock em back (as long as they are in radius). Increased speed is later on in the build for running.
Not sure what mastery (weapon) you selected... forgot what Bonesnap is, and I don't think there are Throwing weapons of the same time (I can not recollect) ... So as an alternative new Barb build (idea only), Grief BA & Beast (Main) and 2x Lacerators on switch... this way you get the Axe Mastery... not sure if there is a throwing mastery, been awhile. I will leave it up to you to check it out, just remember to not radicalize it too bad...

joking.
