Tried it on here. Doesn't do anything for me (on firefox). So I'd guess it's something related to your browser/setting you may have.

Stop clicking? It’s showing your cursor position. You probably have some setting enabled to allow cursor positioning to highlight

Chrome settings > accessibility > navigate pages with a text cursor.
Turn this setting off.

If was likely accidentally turned on with its shortcut of ‘F7’
