Omg you know, where i grew up, there was a supermarket erected when i was about damn 5 years old or so ....................... when we got about 8, we started hangin out there. They sold those little freeze pops, i think they cost about 1 NOK, or 0.10$ xD a box with 10 or so. And they also sold pineapple juice, 3 small boxes for something like 20 cents... 2 NOK... And they had slot machines.. and those shopping carts, where you put a 10 NOK/1$ into the slot to loosen it. And the idiots that designed them made TWO different mechanisms xD So people got confused and sometimes left the coyn in there ^^ So we made it a regular habit to patrol the cart huts and check for money xD Then we either playd the slot machine, and sometimes we won, or we bought chocolate, pineapple juice or freeze pops ^^

Good times, good times. So much stuff happened before. It was reallya golden age. When even the managers and economists weren't completely asshole-istic. They had SOME kind of soul. I remember yo-yo competitions and campaigns. Big colourful advertising plaques. Cheese buns on saturday filled with chocolate spread (nugatti xD) and coca cola for lunch ^^ Just things being arranged all the time. Pinball machines. I remember the security guard, we watched him through a window, the bastard was zooming in on a hot woman that was working there. He noticed us and just pulled the curtains shut. Lol.

Not anymore. It's all dead now. How to brainwash a nation and make them do your bidding... that's the que now.

I read none of this.

Hehe, i do that ^^ Weird thing........ when it's hot outside, i actually almost enjoy the sauna more. It's weird. Going tomorrow. I need to keep up my aqua exercise.... i can feel it, some weeks ago, there was so much work n stress, i didn't get time. I could start feeling it in my back n hips... it's important.

i like heat B)

Oh yes, me too. Hottest day coming tomorrow. 30C coming in ... BUT!! .... low to moderate northeast wind.. meaning very slight chill.. i could actually feel it today too, however weird it was, it's the middle of july, 25C, sun. Yet a bit of wind coming from southeast. Yet i could feel it, carrying the planks on my shoulder, the wind was nice, but it was a tiny bit chilly.

Earlier days, when i would be drinking, it's like, when it's hot outside, it's great for drinking. BUT!! Big but(t). If there is that kind of a slight chilly wind, it ruins the entire evening. You get drunk, you're happy, 7-8-9 PM, on the beach. Yet it starts getting a little bit chilly. You just want the heat to continue. It takes a few years to realize those things.

Those days when the heat actually lasts the entire night, you can get great drunk, enjoy the sunset, get a real great evening. I've had a few of those. But no more. What's done is done... you get a choice after so many years. Live or die. You can choose.

A walrus has many layers of blubber to protect him from the cold. But you put that walrus in some heat and it suffers. So the walrus goes back into salt water to keep himself cool.

I know. Lol. I can feel it too... lost 20 kg, and now lost 1 more the last 4 days. Even in the warm water bath where i do water exercise, even there i can feel it getting colder xD I freeze more easily now. But .. i guess it just has to be. All that phat is not good on the body. It's crazy how psychology works, isn't it.

Is it pretty dry or humid up there in the great Homeland?

As a Nordic myself, I've lived in the dry mainland Pacific northwest for so long I've grown accustomed to the dryness. Dry heat is no big deal, the cold dries my skin out though. 30 C is kinda cold

Now that is an interesting question, isn't it?

It started when i lived in a small place outsite this city.. after moving from a place that was so bad, very humid and moist. Because of faulty building process, and it was situated 50% below ground. So while i lived there, i bought a dehumidifier. It worked well, and then i started reading the % on the machine.

So i moved from there because it was so shitty place to live. The new place (old really ^^) was also humid. 80% ... the dehumidifer worked well there too, and it didn't -stay- humid like the other place.

But then it was like, okay i didn't have to use it all the time, so i bought a temperature+hygrometer instead. This was about 10 years ago. Since then i've kept an eye on it, followed the weather of the years and humidity as you mentioned. But also because i am an earth sun, water moon, you know, like the swamp thing, i've always felt that, when there is dry air outside, it gets dry inside, and then you feel like your body starts to dry out. This, at least to me, causes a kind of survival/desperation mode in the body and mind, drinking water becomes more vital, but also, eating food types that are more hydrating, like stews, is maybe more vital. Food types that keeps giving your body moisture from inside. I read every year about people getting problems from the dry air during winter+spring. And i've written this in some comment sections. Yet see very little good n practical advice from scientists. They are stupid.

Well, back to your question.

Most of winter here in Norway is dry. Very dry. It can get as low as constantly below 10% relative humidity in my place. Which is why i bought that water heater thingi wrote about here on jsp some 1 year ago.

And it's really bad. When sleeping, you snore more, since the mucus dries out. You feel dry all the time. It's good for drying clothes indoors, and to keep moisture away, which can be good for many things. Not get mold n such. But when it's that low, obviously it can dry out the skin, eyes, nose, you get sores easier. Using moisturizing cream n such becomes a thing. BUT! Most importantly, get that dang restaurant style water heater. It works extremely effective.

Winter+spring is usually very dry. Now, since about mid-May, it started increasing to more acceptable levels. 30-40%. And now, the last 2-3 weeks, 40-50%. Which will probably last until early winter, like october-november, when it drops again.

That's southeast of Norway. Been quite regularly like that for the 10 years i've been measuring.

So i really recommend buying one of those, thermo+hygrometer. Start following that. If it's too dry, you dry out. Too moist, you breathe heavy and get sleepy. About 38% is the best spot for me. 35-40%.

I know what you mean about food. Soup is core winter foods. Heats you up, moisturizes you from the inside out, it's hearty. Summer though it'll make me feel more full (over hydrated?) And just really warm since im a natural furnace.

My skin is very powerful though and makes alot of moisture. So I never have to moisturize or use Vaseline in the dry dry summer, I just feel okay. Lots of sweat perhaps. But in the winter I'll need to Vaseline my hands and moisturize my face or else it'll get red and itchy, dry, crack at worse. But thats decently high humidity id say. Our summer humidity right now on a 36 C hot day is about 30 percent, high enough for me. Dunno what it is in the winter but low

Cool. Good that you fixtures on this stuff. Vaseline huh .. that's different. I may check that out. I got a bit of a shock over it after reading about that swedish runner that covered himself in vaseline before a competition run, and died after overheating xD

But yes. What energy composition are you? ^^ I.e. sun sign and moon sign. Make a birth chart n check it out. I mean, my dad is air sun fire moon, and he never use any moisturizing cream, and he thrives in dry weather ^^ Lol. It's funny.
