Red states are poor because the Civil War decimated the plantation system which was the backbone of the South's economy. Blue states are rich because they industrialized early and the United States is blessed with the raw material resources necessary to fuel their growth.

You're seeing that wealth gap shift in real time as education declines in blue states and wealth and industry moves south. Tech and finance will increasingly move to Texas and NC. Massachusetts has been more competitive keeping talent and wealth, but NY and CA are seeing it leave in droves.

A Red state has consistently stolen Fortune 500 companies from California lately.

Texas has gotten Oracle, Tesla, Chevron, HP, CBRE , Aecom, Charles Schwab and some others. Texas will surpass California as the home of Fortune 500 companies before I die easily.

All of those companies combined will be worth less than OpenAI by itself next year

I predict that just the top 5 companies in California will be worth more than the rest of America combined in 2026. Again, due to artificial intelligence

Didn’t it lose like 5-6 billion in net worth last year and is only up 3.7b of that this year? Is it even in the Fortune 500 currently?

Google says it only has 10 billion revenue. Even my company has higher revenue than that, we are like 220 on the fortune 500 with 18 billion revenue or so a year. I dont see how they can project a revenue of 125 billion by 2029. There is only so much AI can do.

Google and Apple have been buying up entire sections of real estate in Texas as well. Although no announcement has been made on them moving HQ it’s clear they are contemplating.

You can believe whatever you want, my prediction can be verified in just a few months

OpenAI had a market cap of 300B in March 2025 and has been doubling every few months

Today (not in the future, today), Nvidia by itself is worth 4 trillion. More than the entire state of Texas combined today. Nvidia by itself grew trillions in the last 2 years, basically adding the value of the entire economy of Texas combined in that time

Remember that CA has companies like Apple, Meta, Google, Broadcom, etc. Nvidia is just one of them.

Two of those will leave in the next 5 years. Maybe Nvidia too.
(That’s my prediction)

NOTE: I said the same thing about Tesla and people on here called me crazy.

If you are right in the future, then I'll admit in wrong.

Today, based on the events that have happened already, objectively speaking blue states are growing faster than red states and the speed has been increasing drastically in the last 2 years.

I do agree with part of your statement. AI in general will be HUGE. Apple is set to spend 500b in Texas in the next few years just on AI mostly.

Red states should be very mad at tech companies. Political pressure is what might make it actually happen (relocating their headquarters)

If nothing changes, the future of America will be a small number of mega tech companies in California profiting off the rest of America. People will work in factories and data centers for low wages in red states while the money gets sent to California so that AI companies can pay hundreds of millions of dollars to elite researchers

If you live in a red state you should be very wary of AI. If you live in a blue state and don't work in tech you should also be wary (maybe even moreso)
