they got a lesser talent who is also 6 years older and more injury prone. that's awful
AD is injury prone, but when he plays he can contend with anyone impacting a game. Offensively he's great, but his defensive impact is what sets him apart. I mean this is an All-NBA, All-Defense player who is easily top 10 when he's healthy. Granted, he's made of glass at times.
So the statement about getting nothing in return is inaccurate.
Mavs wanted defense, and they got it. Then they added Cooper Flagg who is elite defensively and should be an All-Defense player in no time. Those two on the floor together could be scary.
Mavs have done a nice job rebuilding that roster. They've got a good squad.
