So here's something. Society as we know it, is like, everything is run on competition.

I'm really against that. I can't even say how much i hate it. And here's why.

I worked as a masoner. I did pretty good job. But i'll admit, i was not as fast as at least my boss, he was one of the fastest workers i ever saw. In some fields of masonry, i was quite fast, when i got the speed up, and when i was left to organize a job for myself. But even if i was 80% as fast as he was, which still was 30% faster than many others, that was not fast enough for him.

But he was also a real asshole. He could not cooperate with anyone.

I am very different. I can cooperate with anyone - if they show a sliver of respect and sensibility, and willingness to cooperate and learn.

The way society works today, is like ... if you're not going at 250% speed of what you can take, at all times, you get left behind, or at least, you get looked upon as a slacker, a lazy person, or someone that holds back and is untrustworthy. Which is ridiculous. Even high ranking officers in the military are sometimes found to be corrupt. Police officers.. anyone. Working hard is not a guarantee that someone is trustworthy.

Nobody ever considers, that in order to retain your emotional and spiritual health, it also requires to take it a little bit slow. In order to not lose one's mind, and stay on the positive, to make sure things are fluent, and "flowy", to make sure everyone is on the same page, things must have a flow of their own.

Simply rushing, pacing, going insane all the time, nobody ever knows anything of what's going on. And that's how i feel it's been like, in EVERY damn job i ever had. Just get it done, rush rush rush, as fast as humanly possible or impossible, 250% speed. When i've seen sooo many times, with a LITTLE BIT of planning, we could be doing things so much more efficient, less painful, less stressful, and more in the spirit of cooperation.

And then i wonder; Been wondering for 20 years .. who is it that puts this system in motion? Who is it that decides that this is the norm, the normal way of doing things?

I realize also, one does not HAVE to work that way. But if you don't, 1) You make much less money, and 2) Customers view you as lazy. Even if you deliver the same quality.

And that's my main point.

Soooo many people, can learn to deliver quality. To deliver a standardized, good, wholesome, quality, job, in any sector of work.

But why does it have to be so that only those that work fast up to a point, can make enough money to survive? Why does it have to be that way? Why can't we do things more intelligently?

To me, it's like, everything should revolve around everyone being able to contribute. Even if it's 2 hours a week, they should feel like they are able to contribute, and not lose their minds doing it. Or much better, everyone works a bit slower, then MORE PEOPLE can join in! Which is what the government always wants. So why don't they change the system?

Why do we not do things that way? Why does the world have to revolve around impatient, psychopathic, disgusting and unempathic asshole personalities? Human beings makes the system - so why don't they change it?

Who is it that sets this system into motion? And how can we work to change it?

A little bit of competition can be healthy, when a system is ground to a halt, and a new solution is necessary. But if everything runs smoothly, then that is the optimal way of things, to me. Flow. The most important word in the world.

No, and every parent of every public school child should be thankful for that.
