Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young Award winner who made his first All-Star team in 2011, was named to his 11th National League roster as a special commissioner's selection.

RIP suarez and Sanchez. at least 1 of them shoulda made it

6th best batting average
9th best OPS
5th best OBP

In MLB. This is with Harper missing MUCH of the season.

Idk what you're definition of mid is. I agree the offense is inconsistent and the pen needs more arms with Alverado out, but this is a good team lol. Baseball is just about who's hot at the right time.

You don't have a top 5 record in baseball while your best hitter is out a chunk of the season unless you have a good team.

he made some good points about your offense. you have a lineup of guys who hit singles so those are the stats you post
harper is still 2nd in walks after missing 30 games and third in WAR.
your pitchers arent allowed have a bad day which is going to wear on them come playoff time if you dont get some help

whats confusing about that? you have 1 power hitter in your lineup when harper isnt playing and since his return he has no xbh

Oh, yeah. They have a .405 SLG% as a team this season which puts them 5th in the NL (12th in MLB). Granted, that's with Harper (career .518 SLG) missing like 30 games.

We already knew the streaky offense come playoff time is what scares us. Kepler has been a major disappointment too. They should be very active at the trade deadline.

Either way, being all doom and gloom about a team with a top 5 record in baseball is kinda silly. 3rd best record in the NL and they're 3-0 in series against the two teams above them (Dodgers and Cubs). Flaws? Yes. But damn Fgs acting like these are the Rockies 😂

Wheeler has a 27.4 WAR since 2021, his first full season with the Phillies.

It's the most by any pitcher in MLB and it's not even close. The next closest is Logan Webb with 20.2 WAR.

that sounds pretty mid to me, especially when one player is propping up that average by himself. its not doom and gloom the criticism is from a contender standpoint not just being above average

Gonna get a couple of arms to add to the pen to use alongside Kerk and Strahm. Then maybe a bat.

That paired with Wheels/Sanchez/Suarez who are all absolutely dominant this season and they'll certainly have a shot to win it all. Asuming everyone is healthy. Dodgers are clear favs to come outta the NL (Phillies have handled them in both series this season fyi), but like any other season though, gotta get hot at the right time.

Wheeler 9-3, 2.17 ERA
Sanchez 7-2, 2.59 ERA
Suarez 7-2, 1.99 ERA

Skenes will be tough to top. Him or Wheeler will win it. Wheels is probably gonna get screwed and have yet another runner up on his resume 😬

Imagine if we had our opening day starter pitching like he could too. Gotta get Nola back to form.
