Hi all, im sure this one was asked many times but forgive me.

Rn I play barbarian with sword/club and strength build. I never passed a MQ so I have no new characters.

My question is, investementwise, for which character should I aim for in the long run like for example what is the best char to grind for Guildpoints and which items would make sense to spend some fg on it then? Because I don’t want to invest thousands of fg into str , EE club / sword and heavy armor if it would be only good for barbarians and since this is only for beginning it would be wasted. Hope you got what I mean.

Tl:dr > what is the best character for gp grind and what items should I buy for it (let’s say all 5-10 levels a new item)

Thanks in advance

Your answers will be mixed as everyone has their own preference.

Here are my preferences

Melee Weapons : EE Daggers and EE Axes
Reason why: These items are usable for all classes that are melee

Melee Damage Charms - Dex Lightning and Wildheal
Reason why: specific Headhunter only usable charms. I did not feel like buying items i couldn't use for all melee classes such are fires, etc

Armor Dex Robes (Can be used on all classes)
Dex leather / Dex Scale (Can be used on all Axe classes (Barb, Pally, Headhunter)

Caster Weapon: Int Dagger and Int Staff
Armor: Int Robe
Caster Charm: Personal preference (I went with Earths as they are similar to Ices)

For GP grind, you want to do group climbs, as they are far faster than doing solo runs. (but there is less likely having items drop of value) I'm referring to group Whistle climbs

Yes i know but since i have 0 knowledge, mixed answers might be fine. Thank you a lot for your help! So would you say headhunter overall might be the most effective?

Headhunter is good but what is best depends on what your goal in this game is. As you mentioned you wanna farm gp's you have to play the latest class you have unlocked anyway as you only receive 1gp everytime you do master quest on a char with a class you have already done a successful mq.

The advice from is very good as you need just a few sets of equipment to play every class in ls. But consider that the listed items are the more expensive item classes so you'd have to invest more to get these.

Depending on how much youre gonna play, dagger/axe setup would carry you all the way to warlock. And technically would only need dex items. Monk/Ninja youd have to use daggers and robes, but everything below you can use heavy/med armors.

However, Swords are good from feeder until monk, and then again on ninja. With str gear.

UEFIs answer is best if you want to play the game for a while.

If you're purely here for fg just keep playing barb with clubs/swords and str gear as you can afford much better gear with a lot less fg.

E.g 200ee 55 club is like 10-20k fg vs 200ee dagger which will be more like 100k.

Making it to headhunter is also very hard solo so if you're just playing casually swords/staffs are much more affordable than daggers/axes. Main issue with this is staffs need dex charms/robes rather than str.

If by chance you make it to warlock you'll need caster gear regardless of what you use.

Well if you have ee staves you can do melee warlock.. hurts a bit as you waste that casting power but it is possible

I was going to mention it but its a bit crazy if you're playing enough to make it to warlock, although could be fine if you had nice staves.
