The answer applies to your dedication in playing in group runs and how those players see you as a fit for their team of players in group runs... guild or not.
Game mechanics is simple.
Each action you take adds to your accomplishment.
A normal weapon attack action = 1 second delay, a normal Cast (Heal or Elemental) = 1 second delay ... however, multi ability skills can multiply by the number of successful hits/heals in a group run, so 1 second delay will give you more benefits on that action.
Multi strike vs X # monsters
Multi cast vs X # monsters
Multi heal vs x # of group members needing heal.
And of course, group runs are faster leveling.
Don't fret the small stuff, but as a solo'er, you may want to work on what you gain per action and not reaching master quest.
