The game is still being offered for sale from Blizzard though? What is the difference between a Classic D2 & LOD account and a D2R?

I dont make the rules or enforce them.
As far as I know d2 and d2lod legacy purchases are still “cd key” type deal which is illegal

Ah ok. Hmm. Odd, what if it was just a bnet account that owned them already? I'm assuming that's what people are doing when they ask for a D2R account? and I see dozens of posts asking for that on here.

You can gift D2 And D2 Lod from battle.net the same way you can gift everything else that people are looking in this sub.

@PixelPete you don't buy the account, you arrange the trade with someone you are becoming friends for 3 days and then he can gift you whatever the battle.net store has.
This is along the rules,unless the jsp stuff decided to ban only d2 gifting.

Okay, it seems that the jsp stuff specifically ruled out the d2 gifting.

Those rules are made in 2011, when you couldn't gift d2 and lod from battle.net.
I don't know if those rules apply now or not tho.

That totally makes sense. I could see that being an issue if people were swapping keys and whatnot for fg back in the day and some not working and it creating chaos for mods or something. But ya, with the ability to gift now, like d2r, not sure why it isn't allowed. But I don't wanna get banned so I'll try and do whatever is allowed.
