What is your opinion on the matter? If money was removed from sports, everyone would have more fun with it, it would be more about the art and the sport, and less about spectacle and fake injuries and rolling 10 times around to get sympathy from the judge. And people would respect working life more, since nobody could get 1 million $ a week playing soccer or american football or whatever. It's a mockery to working class people everywhere.
That statement you cannot beat. I know i am correct........ Sports is sports, it should be there for fun, for play, like when we play diablo 2, you agree that botting ruins the scene, newbs are told to buy fg to buy gear, it's like taking the fun out of the game, the game should be about society, sharing loot, sharing the experience. That's fun. Money should come from work, from actually learning a skill, cooperating with others, doing something -useful- for society.
And yes, i know sports generates some kind of other jobs, but still, the negative stigmata effect it has on working life in general, that cleaning lady that cleans their wardrobes, making 15$ an hour, it's like a mockery to them, they come in and make 100 000$ a week, it's ridiculous, SHE should be the hero, not them.
You never see them in the newspapers, the people that actually does something useful for society, you never see them praised as heroes ... oh no no, they are more seen as lower class people, never revered, but those sports idiots, that just run around kicking a ball, they get praised, making so much money, on advertisement deals for dirty criminal casinos. It's a sick disgusting practice. And the young of course looks up to this.
Furthermore, most of these "athletes" (i hestate to even call them that), have a very egoistical attitude, if they want your woman, they won't hesitate to try it out, they think they DESERVE anything they want. Yet they haven't done an honest day's job in their lives. Just get sponsorship deals. And the worse thing about this, is the young in schools look up to them, so they start acting the same way, egoistical bully bastards, taking steroids, only nourishing their own egoes, not really thinking about the society as a whole. Which is what they SHOULD be doing, so that women grows up to respect men and respect proper principles and values. Actual working class values. Which is how the world should be working.
So my friend, i know something about something, this is about psychology. I know a bit about psychology.
And then, on saturday, everyone could gather on sport day and play, but it's like, just a few sports get so much attention - people work all week, what's wrong with some more attention for brainy sports, like games? Diablo 2, civilization 2? Why do we never see any big tournaments from those games on tv? It's because of the devil, money, he wants you to be excited for the wrong reasons, money. Nah .... i say, let people be free, let them find their own routines, their own sports, not being yanked by the devil on their chains, to praise people that gets a free ride in life, that's been lucky. To me, we should be praising those that has managed to stay in working life, keeping a job, doing good work. THOSE are the ones that SHOULD be revered. Showing off their knowledge, spreading it, not to get praise, but simply for the fun of bettering society.
That's what society is all about. Not making millions on kicking a ball.

Do you know what it takes to become a world class athlete? Obviously not. Do you know the amount of hours, talent, dedication and oftentimes money is required to even get a slight chance of becoming a professional athlete? The sacrifices these people have to make? Do you know how many people do not make it despite trying hard, really hard for their whole life? You think you know something about something, but you dont even know what money is, how you get it and why you get it.
Why do you think certain athletes get paid immense amounts of money? Do you think they get this for fun? Nope, they GENERATE it. The working class dude, you think gets mocked by their salary watches them play, buys tickets, buys PayTV because of these athletes, is a great and grateful fan of his favorite team or player, he buys his kids their jerseys or their raquet or whatever. These athletes fill arenas, they sell merch, they create insane amounts of jobs and bring people joy.
The money professional athletes get is a tiny, tiny bit of what they generate and what they did for it is hard, very hard work. And what they are able to do is special. My job is okay, but if I quit another guy does it. No one cares. I cant do anything special. I cant play tennis like Roger Federer or football like Messi. Peoople do not watch me in awe when I pick up the phone and click around on my desktop, but they watch those guys. They are inspiring.
If you take away money from sports, then you wont see world class atheltes anymore, stadiums would be empty, the economy would suffer a great deal and people would be sad as well. Because people love to watch sports and support their favourites. Thats why they earn so much. Because of normal people watching them and cheering for them.
Sports arent just silly games, its important. Sport is healthy, brings joy, its one of a few healthy and fair forms of competition.
