https://eci.ec.europa.eu/045/public/#/screen/homeThis is a petition to force game companies in the EU to stop killing games without leaving fans recourse to keep playing them. This is mostly aimed at online games, like leaving behind server code to let people run private servers to keep games alive once games give up on it, or integrating server code into the game so they can be played in local multiplayer. This could have real impact if it passes, as if it gets a million signatures from registered EU citizens, European Parliament will have to start serious discussions on implementing this. The rest of us not living in the EU would benefit as well.
People keep giving money to these companies too.
I'll stick with Fromsoft gaming. I've had the best time with the souls games and communities and the games are far above the rest.
A company telling you the games you buy you don't own and we can take them from you at any point is lunacy and idk how people fund it the way they do.
If people want real change with a company, then stop paying them. Money is what motivates these companies. Take their money they will change.
