Hello, I'm looking to create a thread to share all the historical ban waves for Diablo 2 Resurrected.

List the date and reason for the ban.

Possibly, the techniques Blizzard uses or has improved to do so.

To share ideas for banning bots or hacks. Bots could be easily stopped; just put a hat on when the game starts.

I don't exist to give your opinion on Blizzard and bots/hacks.

for lod never had a single cdkey banned from botting 24/7 for years on like 20 legit keys bought directly from blizzard
havent played lod since d2r tho

on d2r had a single account banned that I setup for test purposes in I think it was 2022
was a fresh windows install to keep offline, bnet wasnt starting at boot
had the Ethernet cable unplugged
but at one point had to plug the Ethernet cable for few minutes for something unrelated like to download a Linux ISO or something
that was a fresh reboot with no bnet / d2r launched for that session

then unplugged again, rebooted again

and the account was banned

that was some real shady shit from blizzard as it scanned the local files on the computer without even bnet launched

that was the last time I had a windows install in the house, thats shady af

I know for a fact that is banned from Chuck E Cheese in 12 different states

You are my reference when it come to banwave, Pino should PM you.

The Pixel bot ban wave took out thousands of accounts in July 2022, think that was the last public bot ban. Rest are all private bots we don’t hear about unless you speak the East Asia lingo.

What difference do you make between public and private ban waves?

I've always had the impression that very rare ban wave dates were published by Blizzard.
I've always thought they do bot ban dates but don't talk about them.

Is that what you think too?
What's the point of them doing ban waves and not congratulating themselves on them?

Blizzard is known for congratulating itself on trivialities or even covering up its failures.
It's strange that it doesn't boast about all its ban waves.
