I know receiving actual facts and a reasonable argument is tough, but this convo isn't a hot take by any means. Just the usual haters. Embiid won MVP (should have been his second) and they're the same people who cried racism for fucks sake 😂

Meanwhile the response I get is "yeah bufuck embiid hes a soft bitch!!!"

So yeah, although f4 fo sho

The fact u think playoff success is negligible destroys any credibility you have. Had embid or the sixsrs won a ship or 2, your energy would completely different. You only change ur stance and your beliefs based on what benefits you or the team you're representing.

Playoff success is winning a championship. Nothing in between matters. You either win or you don't. Celebrating making the conference finals is wild stuff, in any sport....

Quick little education for ya. Here's a list of current NBA HOF'ers who never won a ring:

Allen Iverson
John Stockton
Steve Nash
Pete Maravich
George Gervin
Charles Barkley
Karl Malone
Dominique Wilkins
Elgin Baylor
Chris Webber
Patrick Ewing
Dikembe Mutombo
Artis Gilmore
Reggie Miller
Vince Carter
Tracy McGrady
Grant Hill
Yao Ming
Nate Thurmond
Alex English
Bernard King
Chris Mullin
Sidney Moncrief
Adrian Dantley
Mark Price
Mitch Richmond
Lenny Wilkens
Tim Hardaway
Jerry Sloan (as coach)
Don Nelson (as coach)

But tell me more about how a ring is required to make the HOF. :bonk:

Everyone single one of those players went further than Embid. Also it's hilarious your bringing up dudes from the 90s and earlier, when you've clearly stated how much the nba has changed in various threads in this sub. The HOF players who made it back in the day do not equate to the nba players in this era. You can't say making the nba final and losing is the same as Embitch choking in the 1st or 2nd evey year

2/10 for effort

Embiid is better than so many of the players on that list 😂

Some don't even have an MVP on their resume. Every player who has ever won MVP has made the HOF. Derrick Rose might be the first player to break that trend because his career was essentially cut really short so his chamces are slim. But Embiid's resume is much more stacked.

Embiid is gonna be 32 next year. With his brittle body I would be shocked if he makes it to 33 before he is forced to retire and spend his days in a hospital til they have to Old Yeller him.

He is the epitome of the Sixers fan base. All hype but in reality trash.
