Long time Diablo fan here. Still very active in D2R. I've binged through D4 and the expansion over the weekend and I'm left with several questions that I can't find answers to on Google or at the very least none that I can understand. A little background, I'm currently using a Dance of Knives Rouge level 60 paragon 70.
1, How do people trade using jsp? As far as I know you can only trade with friends in your friend list.
2, *Spoiler Warning* I no longer see the gold quest icons in the map or quest objectives. Did I beat the game? Ormus had me do a bunch of random quests, then he gave me a bunch of loot after doing a pit run. Was that it? It was a bit anticlimactic. No Meph fight?
3, As of right now, I'm running Hell Tide in Torment 1. I tried one of those boss dungeons and I got WRECKED (1 shotted). When I look up guides, I see people with gear 15 times better than mine. For example, I have a Legendary Ancestral Dagger that does 290+ base damage; however, all the guides/videos show people with 3000+ base damage items. How do I get those?
4, I see lot of references of World Tier 2-3 and leveling to level 100. I'm assuming that was pre-expansion. I just want to confirm that's the case, there isn't some quest I'm missing to allow me to get beyond level 60.
I appreciate the help!
1) You add the person to your friends list, and either trade via Mediator or trade in D4, but do not mention JSP. Do all of your communication through PM on JSP and/or use a mediator.
2) If you press W, you will have your journey laid out there for how you get your extra skill/talent/paragon points to use. When you finish this and you do the seasonal Journey, you will have "completed the game". However, there is always the grind for paragon 300. Where you end your grind is up to you but the new season is in a week or two I'm sure.
3) Likelihood is that you're using a sub par build and aren't augmenting your gear correctly using the two systems to do so. The main one being taking advantage of the Masterworking of your gear after you get done tempering your gear. Tempering is where a LOT of your power of your character actually comes from.
4) T3 is where they expect the majority of people to be able to play/farm relatively easily. A-S tier builds will be able to do T4 content with ease. Torment 4 is just extra drops but honestly, you can do the same and have 1-2 less drops in Torment 3 and not die as much.
Biggest thing is to make sure you Temper properly and then masterwork everything evenly. Get to 4/8[12} masterworking everything, then working 8/8{12} if you have GA.
