Just wanted to upgrade my shaving cream/soap since I am not a peasant or do you think it will make me gay?

If you're maintaining a beard it's fine, but clean shaving you just want to find a shaving cream that works well and stick to it, doesnt have to be pricy

Yes you are right I am gay and will never financially recover from spending $20 vs $10 on a shaving soap that will last me 2 years.

I have been using van der Hagen shave butter from target and it’s almost out. I used conditioner before and tbh I liked it better than this shave butter but I’m gonna try a different brand next so great thread ty.

I can’t imagine using some shitty canned shaving cream like Gillette, I love when elite posts because he’s always so pompous and arrogant then he goes on to tell you he has the underdeveloped taste and same sense of style as a 12 year old. This is usually a sign of serious neurodegeneration in a full grown adult.

I always lived by "buy once cry once". Good quality products pay for themselves shaving is no exception. I bought myself DE razor and been saving in the long run while enjoying a superior shave. No more disposable cartridge shavers. Now just looking to upgrade my shaving cream to the next level.

Edit: I've been binge watching lots of Shaving channels recently and they recommend best performers are Ariana & Evans, Wholly Kau, T&H

And same, that logic is nearly universal in the world of consumer goods. You get what you pay for, why buy garbage if you don’t have to. Frustration and premature failure is the promise of a cheap product

Straight razors can obviously be intimidating but Double Edge safety razors are harmless.
That's why they were invented. They cut better than disposable cartridge ones and no more ingrown hairs or rashes. But you do need to invest in a good quality. Which might be off putting to fork over $150-$300 as initial investment. But the blades are dirt cheap a few cents per blade when you buy in bulk so it pays for itself in a few years. Over a lifetime you could be saving a few thousand dollars and no more dumping plastic while enjoying a superior shave.

There is something magical when you are using a high quality razor on your face. Its enjoyable and I look forward to each shave as opposed to just another thing to do.
