Questions from first time bettor (with lakeshow):
1. The spreads on Maddux… which one is your official line? The site lists spreads from various sites.
2. How do I lock in a spread? I’m assuming the Maddux lines also move like any other sportsbook.
3. When I make my first bet, do I need to get the OK from lakeshow before doing so?
Or can I just make my first bet as long as I send the FG?
1. Above you in lake's last post that he posts after each day's payout, it says which book's odds he uses. In the case of NBA (presumably) it lists all the links to the maddox lists, and just to the right of those links it says (Bovada odds) to tell you that he's using the closing values of the Bovada book for that specific sport's wagers.
2. In the same post above I referenced in your first question, lake specifically states that you may request a specific line/odds for a wager, but that if the closing line/odds of that wager aren't met, your wager would simply become void.
3. In the post above being referenced it lists the threshold of wagers, and anything above those thresholds you'll need to specifically ask about. But lets say you wanted to bet 5k on the Fever spread tonight, you'd just post "Fever ATS 5000" then send him 5000 FG with a simple comment attached like "Fever ATS".
