American politics are evolving rapidly and Trump is part of that. Honestly, I grew up a Democrat as a young adult, from my late teens to late 20s, because I come from a family of union workers, I am for the equal rights of people no matter their race, religion, sexuality. But the Democrats have lost the majority of left wing people like myself and I don't think they'll ever win my vote back. The straw that broke the camel's back was Israel for many people. The blatant hypocrisy of the US and Israel is disgusting. What happened to Gaza is unacceptable and anyone who supports Israel will never, ever get my vote.

Oh and of course Israel's blatant warmongering with Iran just solidified my never Israel position for the rest of my life. All they want to do is destroy. The Arabs want peace. The Iranians want peace. The Israelis do not.

Last time I heard, the Iranian regime has been shouting "death to Israel, death to America", rather than "we want peace"... but hey, I'm sure the Mullahs in Teheran were just as appalled as we were when their Hamas allies went on a medieval loot, rape and murder spree on 10/7... right?




Keep in mind that polls this far out from the actual campaign are essentially just a poll of name recognition, which Harris still leads at this point in time.

I think you missed the part where the US gave weapons of mass destruction to Saddam, then invited Saddam to invade Iran back in 1980, with Israel supporting Saddam's war efforts. Iran's beef with Israel dates back to this moment. What you are doing (yet again) is generating a false narrative without understanding historic context. The best way to make up your mind is to view these things from different perspectives.

Staying on Topic, Harris lost because people could not relate to her and she was a terrible speaker unable to remove herself from Biden. Trump had momentum and was able to tap into his audience. and ye, he survived being assassinated.

No, Iran’s beef with Israel dates back before the 7th century when the Banu Qurayza resisted the teachings of Muhammad and his authority. Heck they even have recorded history in 628CE when Muhammad marched on Khaybar to attempt to slaughter Jews. There has been generational slaughter between Muslims and Jews for a very long time.

Except the current conflict isn’t about being Jewish. It’s about the people of Gaza, the West Bank, and broader actors like Iran and its proxies opposing the state of Israel. While Israel’s Jewish identity is part of its character, the conflict is primarily about territory, sovereignty, and political power—not religion (though I recognize that the pro-Israeli voices in this forum deny this).

Also, Israel did not exist in the 7th century. However, to your point, I agree—it’s well documented that the Jewish people and their religion have endured a long history of persecution and oppression. Given that history, it’s both astonishing and deeply sad to see Israel engage in policies and actions that brutally oppress other groups of people.

That’s naive. It is always and always will be about being Jewish. It’s ingrained in the history and very fabric of the culture and religion of Islam.

Yes, It is. The problem is “some” people are blind to the reality of actions and reactions. Israeli borders have NEVER been safe. They get tested by their enemies daily. The reality the Israelis said “That’s enough they all must die!” Is a result of the generational genocide (even before Hitler) the Jewish people have endured.

Are they wanting to commit genocide? Probably. I’m pretty sure on this. Has it been committed on them by these same entities? Yes, absolutely. Don’t forget the Jews were originally( and some still are picky genetically) tribal. Entire Tribes have been wiped out by Arabs. Entire cultures. It’s not speculation it’s documented as mentioned before. It’s like expecting Native Americans to not still be salty when they are given the choice of “Integrate and watch your slow ethnocide” or Stay on the Rez and watch your slow genocide.

There is nothing in your post that i disagree with, well apart from the term genocide. the word genocide is tricky noting it is, on this website, and around the world, a subjective term with people having a different view as to its meaning. What is happening in Gaza fits the literal interpretation of the word, but there is a strong argument, from the Pro-Israeli voice, that if they wanted to commit genocide they would have wiped out everyone in Gaza.

Ultimately the population of gaza was 2.1? million. estimates suggest less then 100,000 have been killed (when Israel has the capability to kill all of them). I tend to agree that we should not use the term genocide noting its a spectrum and a highly divisive word.
