I understand why there was originally two servers created. However, with the speed of internet and the dwindling player base, why do you think they still exist?

Valid. Just wonder if they had a reason they've mentioned. I doubt the ping is that much of a difference.

More than likely because the servers haven’t been upgraded and transferring all the data would likely result in some time down, lost accounts/items ect.

That would make sense....kinda. Possibly lose old 08 items that way through validation.

I had the privilege of going on a tour of BattleNet's server building. Well, it was not so much a building, but a closet in one of their smaller office buildings where they store the code for Diablo Immortal. Here is the only photo that I took of that experience...
