Sixers didn't make any outlandish posts recently and I didn't watch any of this series.

I'll be betting on Philly the entire postseason

5 in a row and 6 of the last 7 😎

This team is fun. Huge win streaks followed by huge slumps followed by more hot streaks.

Doing all of this without Harper too 🔥

Oh and Mick Abel another good start. Kid is better than expected. 2.21 ERA through 4 MLB starts. Looking like good trade material though, it's not like hed crack the rotation come playoff time and if they're win now you dont want a rookie coming outta your pen.

nola has been bad
suarez is fa after this year
walker fa after next year
painter coming back from tj and has been awful in AAA

if you trade abel you are gutting your team for the future.

Ranger is also a legit trade candidate. Depends on if they think they will re-sign him (unlikely due to the big contract he'll get) and if they're okay with just keeping him for the run this season.

Wheeler is signed through 2027
Sanchez is signed through 2028 (to an absolute steal of a contract for the team)
Nola is signed through 2030 (lord help us if he doesn't return to form)
Luzardo is signed through 2026

The reality is Ranger is great, and a big time playoff performer, but there's no reason to hand out yet another big contract in the rotation.

And they have Painter who could very likely get the call in July. He bounced back nicely in his last start yesterday btw. It's obvious they have him working on certain pitches throwing strikes and less concerned with results and are being extra cautious with his workload coming off TJ. Barring an injury setback, Painter will absolutely be in the rotation next season. Hopefully we're looking at Wheeler/Sanchez/Nola/Luzardo, Painter to open the season.

Yes, possibly. Abel is only getting starts right now because of Nola's absence and how unpredictable Walker can be. And also because its a great way to showcase him and increase his trade value (likely the real reason tbh). They like a 6 man rotation anyway during the season. But with that said...Abel has been pretty dang good and has certainly improved his trade value.

They have depth for days in the rotation. Hence why they can sleep peacefully at night knowing theyre going to let one of their 3 all-star starters from last season walk away in FA. Also, having Luzardo helps as he has been great outside of two starts. Starting pitching is their biggest strength by far right now. If healthy thats a nasty group to send out every day come October.

Now address the outfield and bullpen without Alverado...
